GOLD

Sooo lots and lots of seasons ago I know...

but... ''like I said on the programme, bloody brilliant''
quote: Susan Boyle.

I have searched everywhere for that gold military jumper, you can just see a glimpse of in the right hand corner of the 1st image, it can hardly be called a jumper tho can it, that beauty, cable knit jumper with its epaulettes and twisted rope detail bits hanging down, just incredible.
worn in the ad by Josh Beech, who is also the coolest male model, I would like to look just like him please, I wish I was him.
back to the jumper...I would trade my entire 2 wardrobes, clothes covered sofa and floor for it, and happy to wear only that for the rest of my days, and trousers of course.

The humble t-shirt is completely transformed by being cut from gold sequins, mmmm...
also been searching for this since its catwalk debut 2 years ago, wanted to wear a rip off sequinned tee for my birthday, but could not find anything, I've now finally got some gold sequin fabric ready for a DIY project.

Noticed Philip lim has just shown a Sequin t-shirt for women, like I can afford it anyway... worn below by Lisa Love of Teen Vogue, remember her from the early days of MTV's The Hills? when it wasn't too bad, still a guilty pleasure I must admit, she is stood with Rachel Bilson, neither particularly interest me, but the sequins sure do!

Come to think of it my friend, Katie has an all over gold sequinned dress, perhaps I could nab it and cut it into a t-shirt?

photographs from her birthday night in Liverpool, taken by Lauren Vassell

We went to a Wizard of Oz styled drag club, 'Garlands' bazaaar but fascinating, Tin men on stilts with disco balls on their heads, all sorts, wish I'd taken pictures now.
To make up for it, here's Sasha wearing a disco ball in french vogue, not sure who it's by.

hello blogging world... I come in peace!

so... I, Daniel Adam Jones, call me Adz :) of North Wales, UK, for all you European readers ;)

has jumped aboard the bandwagon that is the blogging world, bit late I know, I hope there's a little corner left I can have.

I have come to blog about my daily encounters with all things fashion & art mainly, but am sure to go on about film, music, anything I find interesting really… Like a lot of people nowadays I like to consider myself some sort of creative, hoping to go into fashion, I'm into illustration, textiles, art, photography...

I do not seem to find people are as fascinated by things as me. My family are very narrow minded, great, so loving & supportive of me, but not so creative, narrow minded I say to them, except for my Nain (grandmother) it's a welsh term :) she is my biggest inspiration, I'll introduce you later. Who I do not get 'it' from, as she is my dad's adoptive mother, perhaps i get my flare from my dads dad, who he's never officially met, but saw at a garage once, he went to price a car so he could meet his father, not as tragic as I'm making out, gotta get the readers aven't I. talk about a tangent.

I feel I have so much to say, past & present, what I'm about.

I've been trying to get round to this for so long, I'm quite the procrastinator, let me tell you, I have been drafting this opening post all week, so if you find any hint of wit, comic value it sure is not spontaneous. This could be my 1st & last post, but hopefully, can't believe I feel the need to quote HSM, but…. ''the start of something new'' once this is outta the way, I'll run with it.

I am so driven by what I do, aiming for perfection, I find that I tend to dumb down what I do trying not to take it too seriously, because of how much I live for this, god I sound like an artist now!

I have been an avid follower of you bloggers, Knightcat, Susie Bubble, Tavi, Laia, Zana of Garbage Dress, Chip and the rest, checking usually after breakfast & before bed, it gives you enough time to find something to write about, c'mon!

Since the end of two years at college, where I studied a National Diploma in fashion & clothing, A-level in textiles, CAD illustration, Art History… it was the best two years, and i got triple distinction & an A at A-level :) My days are now spent doing half day shifts working at my high street H&M, that is just until I start a BA-hons in fashion, at Manchester Metropolitan Uni in september, which I am soooo looking forward to! I'm gaining confidence, growing up, earning my own money in my 1st job & enjoying learning a lot of the visual stuff, while my friends still study forms of art at college until we go on to degrees all over the country.

I use the other half of the day to draw, design clothes, read fashion mags, watch catwalk shows & interviews on youtube (takes up a lot of my life) I make clothes, discover new music, currently listening to the Kills a lot. I do have some friends, I find time for them at the weekends :)

can't get the hang of the posing just yet, so here's some natural shall we say, shots of me, probably a better way to get to know me, seeing me in my natural habitat, I'm the guy in the skinny jeans, stripes/check, leather jacket, plenty of bangles & the occasional trilby ;)
