beauties at my birthday

My birthday was so last month, even two months ago now, January 23rd, but wanna share two great looks from the night, mine was stripey XXL vest, leather jacket & black trilby.

Katie chanelled the snow queen, in a light grey floaty TOPSHOP dress, in which she spun around all night, trying to be florence Welch of Florence & The Machine, accessorised with metallic silver eye shadow, nail-varnish, and a giant ring.

Lauren, also in crisp new TOPSHOP, a short 50's style polka dot jumpsuit, made from satin parachute feel fabric, with a double breasted front, complete with lapels, it's all she needed, stand out.

The best thing about my Birthday, was getting this here wristband with purple stars on, as apposed to the usual plain coloured ones upon entry to our usual haunt, obviously a special night, left it on until last week, it was decomposing.

I have to have a collection of bangles, it says a lot about a person, I always make my mind up about someone by looking at their wrists... you should too.

Nipple

Please excuse the glimpse of the nipple...
Been wasting my time on Paint again, making bad imagery, there's no excuse, it's just too easy!

This image reminds me of Prada of this season, spring/summer-09

Miuccia is turning the brand into a seriously exciting something, and is slowly becoming one of my favourite designers, sort of without me knowing it really, she has such fresh ideas, age is no barrier, I don't think she gets enough praise. Cutting the hemlines wrecklessly of newly finished pieces, leaving them raw is a nice mix of rich and poor.
The lookbook was art in itself, the mixing of fashion & architecture, love the smudging of the garments, need to try that effect on some images. The girl inside the building is particularly good, like that scene in Alice in Wonderland.

looking forward to summer now! just as were being bombarded with the dark images of the winter shows, they seem to get earlier every year.

HERE ME ROOOOAAAAAARRRRR!

We drank pints & danced to the specials

This photo from last night (me and friend katie) helped me come to accept my new hair do, and move on, not that bad actually :)
it has brought my new piercing into view, had the piercing done about 3 weeks ago?
Ace kitsch tiger top I wore too, from the monday market, which I cut sleeves off of, as I do with everything, paired with a red cardi, which I used as a cape to fly around the dance-floor.

Look what I did

They call it the conch, where I got pierced, no pain at the time, but very sore afterwards, it was done by a small creepy bald man with a handle-bar moustache and hawaiian shirt.

Me, visualising the idea of the piercing, months before I got the courage to actually do it, aiming to put a hoop through.

Dame Helen mirren got hers done recently, and put a massive hoop through it! don't feel so rebellious now..

pretty cool

(not real video) some home-made video made by someone off of youtube, but what a tune.

I blame Josh

I've had a terrible pixie crop. waiting for growth on top now until I share my wardrobe with you, I do not want to be seen like this.
He keeps cutting it shorter and shorter each time I go, I didn't go for two years once, for good reason I see, just kept trimming at home.
It has made me much more streamline, ran around the field with my dog today, Cassie, she's a Doberman, haven't ran like that in years, makes you feel alive!

Here I am pondering another piercing... It is addictive. want to get the other ear done, cleverly imagining how it would look using a mirror image effect. I blame Josh.

London Fashion Week

Was not blown away by the winter collections tbh
I'm just waiting for Giles Deacon to show in Paris, I can't even enjoy other shows until I have seen what he's done, the wait is killing me!

Deacon & Kane will always be my absolute idols, I aspire to be like them, and am inspired by them, A girl used to call me 'Christopher Kane' at college, I was more than happy with that.

Marios Schwab

I appreciate the curving necklines, as i know how difficult they would have been to do.

love the way the skirt of the dress cuts down the front

Nathan Jenden

Hannah Marshall

Stepping out of her comfort zone using navy
Cutting clothes from black fabric, or any one colour in fact with no print, allows you to focus on design, making each feature apparant.

John Rocha

The old designer at Debenhams didn't do too bad this season.

spotted the gold Burberry tee, and promoted Groove Armada's new track

Spotted what could be that sequinned burberry tee! Worn by Fenech Soler singer, in the vid for Groova Armada's new track, Paper Romance.
you should listen to 'Fenech Soler - lies'

like the whole gold tint to this vid, and the way there's girl having a trashy breakdown dance one end of the room, and a performance going on at the other, and no one even looks.

Just recently heard the talent that is Swedish born Lykke Li, such an original
this performance is like something from the 1960's art scene, wonderful, especially the way it ends, like art in motion.
